Any recommendations for a solo relaxing/spa/retreat type holiday in January?

Open to anything really. Grieving and looking for some soul balming stuff.

Preferably some sun and something that has some activity/ interaction with other humans (a silent retreat would be no good) so that I am not just left alone wallowing in my dark grieving thoughts but nothing too full on - so that if I do want to wallow, I can do that.

No budget really as I feel its necessary for my mind so happy to invest for the right trip. Don't mind long haul but not Australia long haul.

I'm sorry for your loss. Have a look at Hilltop Wellness resort in Phuket

I loved como shalbala in Bali. I tbink they have retreats in several places it was faultless and a lot of people were there in their own

Juicy Oasis in Portugal, it’s a week of smoothies, juices, no food and lots of activities. It’s as social as you want it to be.

thanks for your suggestions. Bali I think is just a shade too far for me. I don't mind 10 or so hours flight but over 15+ travel time is a bit more than I can deal with right now.

I was looking at the Maldives but wondered whether I'd need a bigger resort to avoid being too isolated/lonely....

Body Holiday in St Lucia might suit you. There are activities on all day, a treatment of your choice each day, and they are set up for singles too. I loved it there, you can do as much or as little as you want to.

How about Zulal Wellness Retreat in Qatar? When I went lots of people were on their own so I just got chatting to them plus there's plenty in the programmes to keep you busy.
