London hotel affordable but feels a bit special

I have been lucky enough to receive oasis tickets for Christmas. DH and I are going to make a weekend of it and stay in London. It is also our 10 year wedding anniversary that weekend so would be nice to have a special stay. I’ve had a look online and feel a bit overwhelmed and not really sure where to start.
Would like to stay in a hotel that feels a bit luxurious. Budget is probably maximum of £250 per night (might be unrealistic!) within approximately an hour on the tube to Wembley stadium.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

Not sure about the price these days but it used to be affordable. My cousin has stayed here and liked it www.hazlittshotel.com

Hazlitts is £300 a night up.

The Cumberland right on marble arch is fantastic. Used to be the hard rock hotel so still has that high end vibe, great bar etc. live music, great food and drink.
rooms are lovely and comfortable- we’ve always had a great stay.
right above Marble Arch tube so perfect for getting around.

Tower Bridge hotel (Thistle) with a bridge view room is nice, good location for other sights and two mins to tube station.

DH joined the Marriott Bonvoy(?) club and we’ve stayed in a couple of lovely hotels in London with that - the latest one was last weekend in Canary Wharf which I think cost around the £250 mark. It was a bit corporate (unsurprisingly) but very comfy and they upgraded us because of the club membership. Might be worth a look?

Are you wanting London itself for sightseeing or would you consider a bit further out to get a nicer hotel for your money?

An hour from Wembley would get you a Hertfordshire country hotel, but wouldn't be great for sightseeing.
