Has anyone found good deals in the airline sales?

Hi, I’m looking for a family holiday to somewhere hot in April for under £6k (flight plus hotel but not AI). Has anyone found any good deals in the sales? I’m not too fussed on location - I just want sunshine! Thanks

I booked a holiday to Rhodes on Christmas day for end of April. 7 days,
5 star all inclusive, beautiful location and right on the beach. Got excellent flight times from East Midlands. It was cheaper to fly from Manchester and Luton but we live local to EMA.
Baggage and transfers included. I paid £2,500 for 5 adults and a child. Happy with that. We've looked at sane hotel before and it was 1k each for similar time of the year.

Booked it with "on the beach". We've got "free" VIP lounge access at the airport too 😊

I booked with Virgin just before Xmas (19th Dec). Got me and 12 yo DD going to universal Orlando with park passes, and then flying up to NY staying in Times Square next Oct half term for just over £4500. Absolute bargain.

I've booked family of 5 to five star all inclusive to Dominican Republic for ten days next September - £6.5k. Well chuffed!

My friend went to Rhodes in April last year. Amazing price for a lovely hotel. They had lovely hot sunny weather though know that at that time of year it’s gamble.

ive just booked Crete for the first week in September for 4 adults (dds are adult and older teen) in 2 rooms it was £2500 AI. I’m happy with that. Not the best AI in the world I’m sure, but it says it’s 4*. I don’t like to spend too much on it as don’t want to feel tied to the hotel and like to explore and eat out quite a bit, but like the convenience of AI at the same time. So this works for us.

The hotel I already booked for the Bahamas was down by £240 so Iv just cancelled and rebooked.

Surely you've lost your deposit though?

I went to crete in October and it was beautiful. Where abouts are you going? We went to the syntopia hotel in Rethymno got a decent price for that too. I book every holiday with on the beach. Never had an issue.

I'm jealous of all of you booking during term time. I'm a teacher and have to pay the school holiday tax 😑

We’re going to Almyrida in the Chania region. We’ve been to Crete before several years ago but haven’t been this far west. Looking forward to it. I want to visit the pink beaches at elafonisi. We’ve booked with loveholidays. I’ve also used on the beach in the past. I tend to use one or the other as they always have much better prices the Tui etc.
