AI hotels with separate bedrooms

Wantdctobehappy · 27/12/2024 09:06

Getting very frustrated searching for holidays - we have a teenage DSS and toddler DD so really need at least one bedroom with a separate lounge area or two bedrooms. However on all the main holiday sites this doesn’t seem to be searchable and I just keep getting shown a load of ‘family rooms’ with everyone in together, which just wouldn’t work at all for us.

We’d really prefer to go AI and budget is 3-4k, but if we can’t find the rooms we need we may need to rethink.

Can anyone recommend any hotels or a clever way of searching???

We use an independent Travel Agent to book package holidays.
I know the owner well through a shared interest and she is great, we only pay brochure price or less and she often manages to get us upgrades ect for no cost.
She can sort out all sorts or requests like this

Grand Yazici Club Turban Thermal in Turkey has 2 bedroom family rooms.

We use a travel agent for this reason (usually book direct in other cases) - I'm not sure why but getting this type of room seems to require some specialist knowledge of places that do it or interaction with the hotels, which is where a good agent comes into their own

We stayed here in the summer, had a family room which is a separate bedroom and living room (not an apartment so no kitchen area but did have a fridge). There was also a huge balcony.

The resort is absolutely stunning, and loads to do for kids, 3 pools, plus a couple of splash pools and a water park. The evening entertainment was fabulous (and the AI is table service in the evenings)

Loved it.

Have you tried searching for “all inclusive villa resort” rather than hotel? This brings up the type you of place you are looking for.

TyneTeas · 27/12/2024 11:59

HL Club Playa Blanca in Lanzarote has two bedroom apartments and is All Inclusive

Magic Natura is where we went following a suggestion on MN.

I've never used an agent and always booked these kinds of rooms, no issues, just read the 'room type' on the description and take a look at the photos of the room.

AwakeNotThruChoice · 27/12/2024 14:23

Jet2

You can search by people and whose in which room.

Eminybob · 27/12/2024 14:31

Family rooms are often a separate bedroom and living area with sofa bed btw.

Jk987 · 27/12/2024 14:36

Wouldn't a villa or apartment be a lot better?

Chocolategirl19791 · 27/12/2024 14:40

Holiday Village Aliathlon in Cyprus has rooms with separate bedrooms

kiraric · 27/12/2024 14:43

I will never understand why it's considered a niche request not to share a bedroom with multiple children or sleep on a sofa bed

Chocolateporridge · 27/12/2024 14:44

The Lago Taurito "family room" in Gran Canaria has a separate bedroom with large twin beds and then a huge pull out sofa bed in the lounge area PLUS a kitchenette! You can also request cots.
To top it all the AI includes unlimited entrance to the Aquapark which is outside the hotel.
It's only 3 stars and it's basic but the food is AMAZING and it's right by a beach plus nowhere near as touristy as the other resorts.
Would recommend 100%

Hoppinggreen · 27/12/2024 15:14

We stayed here with 2 teens and they loved it.
The rooms are actually suites with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen and a lounge area.
Its not a huge hotel like many on the island either.
Def recommend it

@Hoppinggreen how was the food in Cape Verde. I've seen mixed reviews.

@Hoppinggreen how was the food in Cape Verde. I've seen mixed reviews.

We had seen the reviews which is why we picked that hotel.
The buffet was absolutely fine and the Italian restaurant was excellent, as was the beach grill. We are very very picky with food and have eaten at some really posh places all over the world and we were quite happy with the food.
We went on a day trip and I had one of the best meals I have ever eaten, lobster spaghetti and home made ice cream.
None of us had stomach upsets, although some people we met at the airport on the way home (different hotel) had been really ill.
Do take snacks in your case though as everything is imported so very expensive, even in local shops. DH refused to pay 6 euros for a packet of crisps in the hotel so we got a taxi to a local shop and stocked up on snacks there instead.
Its not like The Carribean but for a fraction of the price and a shorter flight its definitely worth going.

This!

You can filter room type on the Jet 2 app and pick e.g. one bed apartment, 2 bed apartment, but it only comes up as an option when you have one departure airport and one arrival airport, so you have to go country by country.

I've stayed in a one bedroom apartment at the TUI blue Grupotel Turquesa Mar in Cala'n Bosch in Menorca. The one bed apartments are often the default room as I think it's what most of their rooms are. If not, it's easy to change from twin room to apartment when booking with TUI.

What was this hotel like?

flatwhitestar · 12/04/2025 14:49

This all inc and has apartment options

Soulstirring · 12/04/2025 14:52

Porto Bello Royale in Kos has these rooms. Two bathrooms too, you may need to ipgrade though. Prices have shot ip too so not sure if in budget but highly recommended if so
