No-one has much interest in Christmas, so I'm trying to get some sort of holiday sorted.
This year I took them to Slovenia. Earlier in the year I took DS2 for a shorter break in Switzerland which involved a lot of moving about via trains. I was knackered...
DS2 likes being busy. DS1 doesn't - but he did enjoy paddleboarding (not in the UK though - I did try ) but somewhere we could do this again would be great. He can't do crowds or too much noise. Basically none of us have the same idea of what makes a holiday. I just want to roam markets and drink cocktails.
They liked Lake Bled area well enough. But I don't want to drive this time. It really stresses me out and its my holiday too. I want somewhere we can just stroll around. We aren't sea people but we do need water!. Can be self catering although there is definitely some appeal in AI. Wifi is so very necessary. My limit is around the 4k mark.
I would rather not super hot but due to it having to be late July this might have to be overlooked. I was looking at Ibiza earlier but DS2s general lack of enthusiasm has put a dampner on it. We don't need bars and clubs - just things to do - a bit of culture and suchlike. Some town and shops to stroll around. Plenty of food. Malta maybe? What about Greece or Cyprus - or are we just going to swelter.
Also why don't easyjet have the option to search on twin beds? Its so irritating.
Gah.
