Hi!

Looking to take my child away next summer (in school holidays)

It will be just my child and me. Child will be 5.

Any recommendations please. Thinking Europe. Child friendly hotel?

Hi OP. What kind of things do you want/like to do? Do you want sightseeing or a pool/beach holiday?

lifeistrick · 23/12/2024 14:04

That would probably help, I would just like to chill. Spend loads of time in the beach and near the pool, eat some good food!

Somewhere that feels very 'safe' as it will be my first time taking child abroad alone eep

It depends where you live in the UK. If you're near the ferry ports then Jersey is a lovely destination - it feels "different" but you don't have the worry of dealing with passports etc..

Dinard in France is a nice seaside destination - you catch the ferry to San Malo then a very quick ferry across the bay.

My DD at that age really liked Bruges - but no beach for you!

One of the Greek islands. They’re so child friendly.

When my DS was pre school/primary age we went to Corfu, Crete and Kefalonia
