Recommended for traveling abroad

After Christmas, I'll have about ten days off, and I'm thinking about traveling abroad during the holiday, but my budget is only around £5000. Do you have any recommended countries or places? I prefer natural scenery and interesting customs.

£5000 for one person gives you a fairly wide choice of where to go/what to do. As above, what are your criteria and preferences?
