Is it possible to park for free anywhere near London Zoo at weekends?

Thinking of going this weekend using the Kellogs 2-for-1 offer but the website says it's £11 for car parking. Is there anywhere nearby to park for free or can you park on the streets at weekends?

I think on a Sunday you can park on the single yellow lines in the inner and outer circle in Regents Park, really not 100% sure though. Get there early if you are planning to try it.

Some of them. The zoo is on the borders between Camden and Westminster. A lot of streets in Camden are free at weekends and some in Westminster (and I have parked about 10 mins walk away on a Saturday before). But the regs change so I'd make a list of streets that are close by and look on their websites www.westminster.gov.uk and www.camden.gov.uk - there are maps that show you what parking restrictions apply when.

Be v.v careful as parking is a nightmare. Try Belsize Park/Primrose Hill areas as there are still parking restrictions in the Camden town area on Saturday and Sunday. Multi map Elsworthy road and neighbouring roads, as there are no restrictions on Sundays, then walk across Primrose hill into Regents park and the zoo.

Yes,definitely free parking on Saturday and Sunday on Regent's Park Road, Primrose Hill and surrounding area. From there, short stroll through Primrose Hill (5 mins) and you're at the zoo.
There's also a nice playground at the Zoo end of Primrose Hill, if your DCs feel the urge to go on the swings.

Yes, as QueenGina says, parking free Sat and Sun, loads of yellow lines (you are ok on a single at the weekend) right outside the zoo. I drive past every saturday without fail and there are always loads of spaces! Always make sure you have not, by accident parked your car in a permit only space, that is the only thing to watch out for.

Hi Yes as surprising as it seams it very easy, you can park in many of the roads around the park, for the zoo you can get parked on the on the local streets e.g prince albert road out side of permit times.

I have put the link for parkopedia below which shows the streets that are free, click the tab that says street rather than car park.

As ever watch out for any private drive ways/ roads just off the park a few of these have Parking Enforcement Signs

like this www.parkingenforcement.online/assets/Parking%20Enforcement%20Sign.png

and are vigorously enforced!!!!

Also check the zoo website for discount on online tickets before you go. www.zsl.org/zsl-london-zoo

have fun we love it there
