TUI safari. Has anyone tried this?

We would love to go on a safari one day but it's so expensive. But the Tui safari tour in Kenya with a few beach days is so much cheaper than anything else I've found. What's the catch?

I did it years ago. It was around 3 days in the hotel, then 3 nights safari, and then the rest of the holiday back at the hotel. Safaris are amazing.

You did the TUI safari? Fantastic! Can you tell me more about the safari please? Were you in a small group? I'm worried that because it's cheaper than others we will be crammed into a bus and not be able to get a proper view. Or we just drive around aimlessly!

How does it compare price-wise and accomodation-wise to say trips with Explore worldwide or Exodus? These companies are great but do not offer luxury travel, prices still not cheap though.

I've just checked Explore's prices. The Tui package is significantly cheaper and includes flights and a beach stay.

What are you hoping to see/do on the safari?

That's the bit that puts the price up or down.

I'd study the details; Tui are known to be cheap, but not necessarily cheerful.
You get what you pay for
We had a Tui holiday a few years ago, never again.

That's what I'm worried about! We've never really done a package holiday but I'm tempted by this as I've always assumed a safari holiday would be out of our price range.
