Completely burnt out - have month of January off, where in Thailand to 'reset'?

It's been a really difficult year, and I feel shattered and burned out. I also still have 20 days (!) annual leave to use before March so I have negotiated the month of January off.

Thailand seems relatively cheap in comparison to other SE Asian countries. Im happy to visit a few places but definitely don't want to have a chaotic backpacker style mad dash through the country.

Id like to visit some nice places, eat healthy food, excersize and recharge.

I have no idea where to start! Does anyone have recommendations of nice hotels/islands or even yoga/meditation breaks?

Pretty much anywhere

We loved Phuket - but Karbi supposed to be beautiful

@Shootingstarsandthemoon Hua Hin is lovely and worth a visit however I prefer Vietnam to Thailand; it's more interesting, diverse and less tourists!

You can fly straight into Phuket, no need to go into Bangkok and then chill at some of the spots around there. Phuket island was fine, but not my favourite place ever. I wanted to go visit Koh Phi Phi from Phuket, but my husband wasn't keen, he felt it would be too crowded and backpacker like for his parents. There are the islands of Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai close to Phuket and you could hop over to Krabi. I really enjoyed the ruins at Ayutthaya and Sukothai when we visited in 2007, but you don't sound that keen on sightseeing.

Ko Lanta is quite chilled but you can find chilled on pretty much all the islands. Andaman side weather is perfect that time of year.
