Best places for a snowy break

I've taken my DC to Swedish Lapland for the day but want to be able to go somewhere snowy and lovely for a weekend or maybe a few days at half term. Not particularly bothered about skiing, but would love to play in the snow, go sledding, see mountains, maybe snowmobiles, eat different food etc. Can anyone recommend anywhere please? DD is 8.

Not been and no kids but I did investigate the Northern Lights Village

I'd probably go somewhere like Champery in Switzerland. Chocolate box Swiss village, lots to do, stunning mountains, and fondue! There's also a train station in the village so to can get out and about - the train is an experience in itself, and a cable car to take you up into the mountains.
