Squeezing an extra child in room?

I've booked (pre-paid, no cancellation) a fairly nice hotel in London in 2 weeks time to take my 7 yr old twins on a trip. Now my eldest (10) is coming too, I have no choice in this or cancel the whole trip.
I've asked hotel for a room upgrade but there's no availability at all.
So, I either lose the £400 i've paid or try and squeeze him in.

I was thinking to ask him to go to toilet as soon as we enter hotel, i'll check in, and then come and get him before we head to elevator.

Anyone this is a very bad idea or all good?

What a load of pious twaddle !!
Good on you, OP . They are only kids . Am sure their bit of breakfast won't break the hotel .

Good going!

All this talk about hotels going over their numbers, fire safety etc is rubbish! Guests are in and out of hotels all the time, you don’t have to sign in and out so they honestly have no idea how many guests are in at once. Who’s gone to bed early and brought another person with them, who’s pulling an all nighter and might stumble in just in time for breakfast….

It's up to you if you are happy with dishonesty but what a lesson for the children?
If you can't get what you want it's ok to get it by lies or fraud.

Good on you! It's hardly stealing. Presumably you used the three beds that you'd paid for. What's being stolen?

This is real? If so - How terrible to have stolen from this business. What a bad example you set to your kids.

😂

Thanks all for your replies. It looks a pretty close run thing in terms of what's best to do. I don't like this at all but I think i'll have to chance it.
I'll check other hotels and make sure there's one or two I could get into at the last minute if there was a problem, and the hotel asked us to leave.
My 10 year old was staying with his mum but she's changed her plans at last minute and no one else to leave him with either... plus i'd like to have him with us.
I'll post next week with how I got on.

I think it will be fine x
