Think my holiday is ruined

Totally selfish but I’m due to be flying Saturday - a trip I have been saving for years to do and due to the storm I think the flight is going to be cancelled.
I know others are in a much worse position than me but I feel physically sick thinking about the gale force winds and the chances of my flight cancelled

Sorry to hear. Where are you flying from?

We’re due to fly from Manchester around 2pm on Saturday and trying to stay positive!

Fingers crossed we can take off 🤞

Try and stay positive. Your outwards journey may well be a mess if you need to reschedule a flight, but once you get to the destination you'll make up for it! 🤞

It’s only a 4 day trip- we are in amber alert

I flew 2 weeks ago with similar warnings. We honestly expected to get to the airport to be told no flights etc- but it was fine. I obviously don't have a crystal ball, but neither do the weather agencies!
Thinking positive, still get there with plenty of time, take snacks/a book/something to do incase of delay and start your holiday. Best of luck x
