40th birthday suggestions

It's my Husbands 40th birthday next September and I'm having a nightmare trying to decide where to go 😮‍💨

We will have our 14 month old so needs to be child friendly

Flexible for the duration to be 7-18 nights

Not Spain as we live here
Not Greece as going there in June

Dates would be end of August - start of September

Open to a combination of city and beach or just beach

We had planned Singapore and Bali but worried about the long flights with a 1yo

Any suggestions?

The Californian coast. US schools go back at the end of August so prices dip and places are less busy. San Diego is amazing if you don't mind the heat.

I had planned SE Asia but worried about the longhaul flights with a baby so US definitely wouldn't be an option as would visit SE Asia if we were doing long haul
