Anyone been to Lego House in Billund?

I have a question. I have to book a time slot for entering the experience zone. That looks amazing. So do I book the earliest one available which is 10.30 and a late lunch in the robot restaurant. Or book an early lunch then experience zone from say 1pm until close? Presuming you can’t go in and out?

I went in August there were lots of people going out for food and then coming back in afterwards. Just need to remember to scan your wristband.

Yes you can go in and out no problem. You can also take in your own food, great Billund bakery around the corner. Lots of lockers available for your belongings too.

If you have time, book Mini chef for a different day, Lego house is a whole day and mini chef takes a while and you won't want to feel rushed at either.

Book the earliest entry time (then arrive before then to play on the roof playgrounds)

Spend a whole day building and exploring

Come back the next day for mini chef

Also, if you have time visit Wow Park and toast marshmallows.

If you really have 1 day to do both:
Arrive early for play before opening
10.30 entry
Explore 1-2 zones (everyone goes to the top and works their way down so you could go straight to the stop motion/bee robots and not have to wait in line.)
Lunch at Mini Chef
Go back and do all the bits you missed before lunch
It says they close at 5.30, but they don't move you out til nearly 6pm
Then visit the Lego store which stays open much later.

I recommend booking for an early slot. You can go in and out as you need to and you get a bit of quieter time at the start of the day. Enjoy.

This is amazing - thank you so much. So if we had two days in Billund (well three nights and two days) we should maybe do the Lego House on the day we have the whole day and Legoland on the day when we are flying home at 7pm?

If you had one more day, you could also do Wow Park. The kids I went to Billund with preferred Wow Park to Legoland. Legoland Billund is far better than the UK version (fewer people, less stress). Wow Park is for kids who like climbing, running around, big slides and who don't mind getting their hands and knees dirty.

You can go in and out. When we went earlier this year, we had the earliest entry into The LEGO house (which btw is amazing, one of the best interactive museum type places I've seen) and had an 11.45 lunch in the mini chef restaurant. You can lunch there without going into the house but you need to book. We stayed at The LEGO house until about 2/3pm as we were all knackered.
You can definitely do Legoland on your last day - if you arrive for opening, plan where you want to go first and start there and work backwards. Highlights for our kid were ninjagoland (he's obsessed with it) the fire engine racing, the 4d movie and the driving school. Not a big fan of fast rollercoasters so that cut a fair few parts out.
The lego there and at the house is pricey (compared to amazon etc) but you can get exclusive sets. If you do, keep the receipts and claim the tax back at the airport - the desk is before you go through passport / security.

Great tips thanks you and I wouldn’t have thought of the tax that is super helpful thank you

Another question... did anyone book the short break as an ultimate lego experience via legoland, staying in the legoland knight's castle hotel? I am trying to work out how, if we do that, we then reserve the slot at Lego house. I messaged them and they said you get sent a code seven days in advance and use this to reserve your slot. But this seems to be cutting it very fine in terms of getting the date you want. It's about £50 more expensive to just book separately for the stay and the Lego House experience and then I can reserve date and time now, so just wondering whether worth doing that for peace of mind re having everythign booked in on the date I want
