Amsterdam for valentines weekend

If you wanted a nice, romantic weekend in Amsterdam, where would you stay?

Neither of us have been before so I have no idea where is nice

I haven’t stayed there yet but I like look of The Conservatorium.

I cannot recommend Hotel Jakarta enough. Look at the pictures and it totally lives up to it - it's like staying inside the Eden Project. Amazing pool and breakfast and the rooms have a great view of the river. It is about a 20 minute walk to the centre though, but we quite liked being out as it was quieter and a nice walk along the river to get in.
