Okay. I'm going to take my maclaren Quest..but should I take carseat as well? Should I buy separate seat for her and make her sleep in carseat as it's going to be a long flight? So many questions. I was planning to go alone with her and how would I carry buggy..carseat. and handbags with toys and food and suitcase all on my own? Also after I get to the main Seoul airport...I need to pick up all these things after LONG flight, and go to domestic airport (30min. by bus from main international airport) and take another 1 hour flight to pusan. HELP!!! This isn't until December this year, but I would like to plan early...

You may find that an airline won't allow you to take both a buggy and a carseat.
If you get her her own seat, you'll probably find that she's able to sleep on it without needing a car seat anyway.
Certainly, I think reducing your luggage rather than choosing to increase it would be wise.

okay. I guess I don't need a carseat on top of buggy and everything else. But what would she use on a car ride in korea..?? And would you consider buying a extra seat for her a necessity? I wonder how comfortable lap baby is for people who have done it.

Hi Vamp.
My sister off to Korea soon, she is amrried to a Korean.
If i were you i would arrange for someone to meet you at the plane in one of those funny electric cars.Walking miles to luggage reclaim with a tired toddler is not fun. I know,I've done it many times.

Hi moondog. Did your sister take under 2 to Korea on her lap or did she buy an extra seat? I think arranging for someone to meet me at the plane with electric cars is GREAT idea. I could call the airport and ask them if this would be possible. I was wondering how people can travel alone with baby with luggage and so much stuff to carry...

Vamp, they had the baby on her lap.
I do the same (or rather did when mine were under 2).It's a lot of cash to splash out for a tiny person.
What are you doing in Korea?

hi moondog. We are going to visit my parents there for christmas..and I was hoping I can take my little one alone first with DH, then he could come later as he has jobs here and we could come back together but I'm just a bit intimidated by first longhaul flight alone with dd!!
