Car Seat / Pushchair Help!

Hi, help please with our first family holiday.
Our son will be 20 months old and we will be going on our first family holiday next year.

Is there a pushchair and car seat combo I can buy/borrow/hire to take with us?

His current car seat is fixed into the car and wouldn’t fit to a pushchair and he’s too big for an infant carrier so I’ve no idea what to do!

We will need a car seat for transfer from the airport and taxis when we are away. He will be sat on my knee on the plane for the 2 hour flight. Any advice much appreciated!

We had a stroller for travelling. A brand called yoyo. Great size. Easy to resell then kid grew to big

We had a car seat only for travelling.. Luggage/bags aren't treated well by airlines so we only used it for holidays.

We had a cheap stroller once dd was that age.. For car transfers from airport we pre-booked a car-seat. Will you be doing lots of taxi trips?

At that age we had a Maclaren buggy, can't remember the model but it was slightly reclining so DD still could nap in it.

Car seat - we took our stage 1 with us all the time. After one disaster where a booked and confirmed seat was not available and it took hours to sort out, it's just not worth trying to hire one.

We had a large bag and strapped towels and coats around it.

No, I don’t think so and that seems to be the point from what I can see. We can get a car seat for the transfer and once we arrive, everything is within walking distance really so I think we’ll go for a cheap stroller like you say. Just so many new things to think about!

thanks everyone for your responses!
