What is the best/most effective suncream i can get for a 6month old baby....??

We're off on our first family holiday since ds arrived 6 months ago!!
I'm very excited, but absolutely petrified at the same time.
We're going to Egypt, so its going to be around 40C.
Any help on this would be great... i don;t want to fry my baby!
I;ve got him lots of T Shirts to wear in the sun, plus hats too, but i'm not sure which sunscreen to buy... there are quite a few out there that say they are suitable for babies, but as a first time mum i've never had to test them....

thanks in advance

Ive always used Avon factor 50 for kids with my ds1, we took him to Turkey when he was 5 months and was fine with it, just put plenty on and keep re-applying it.
Also you could get a parasol or drape a towel over the buggy hood to shade him from the sun. What month are you going to Egypt in?
I went in the July a few years ago and it was scorching hot

Don't get a coloured one if you can help it. If you get it on their clothes (or bedroom wall/curtains - don't ask!) it really stains.

I use the Garnier spray one. Easy to apply and does the job. I don't know if it's any better or worse than any others.

Might be worth investing in one of those set suit type things that have an spf of 50. Then you only have to worry about creaming up the bits on show.

Have a good time!

Definitely go for an SPF 50 protection sun suit in that heat to and he should never be in the direct sun anyway for any length of time as it is harsh for their sensitive skin.

Have a lovely holiday - v jealous
