Any accommodation recommendations for Madeira ?

We are thinking about going away for a week at the end of October. There are three of us, DH,myself and lively 2 year old DS. Ideally an appartment or aparthotel ideally with at least one bedroom and separate living area as I find it really hard to sleep in the same room as DS and it would be nice to have an area to relax in once he is asleep. Heated pool a bonus, near to some restaurants if poss, childrens play area a double bonus. Oh I'm getting picky now, any recommendations anyone ?

Oops would be helpful if I trawled through the other postings to see one about Madeira that is less than a week old . However doesn't specifically discuss accommodation so think I am still ok. Omi, would you just say that its not recommended for a 2 year old , do you think its still worth going there or more relaxing to find somewhere else.
