I’m reaching out to see if anyone can help us find a family holiday for mid August 2025 14 nights. We’re a family of five – my wife and I plus our three children, aged between 12 and 16. For the past three years, we’ve been to Gran Canaria, which we really love, but the prices for next year have shot up, and we’re struggling to find something affordable.
We’re looking for:
- *Self-catering accommodation* (we like the flexibility).
- *Close to a beach* (within walking distance).
- A *hotel with a pool*.
- A *safe, quiet resort*, but with shops and restaurants nearby for food and drinks.
- Ideally somewhere warm and family-friendly, similar to Gran Canaria.
We paid about £3,200 last year, but it’s nearly £4,700 now for the same dates and options with EasyJet! It feels like everything is massively expensive, and we’re running out of ideas.
Does anyone have any suggestions for destinations, tips for finding better deals, or alternatives we might not have thought of? Any advice would be so appreciated. We feel more comfortable with a package holiday.
