Passport control at Lisbon

Anyone been to Lisbon lately? How long are the queues at passport control?

I have seen some old threads where they say that Lisbon is notorious for long waiting times, up to 3 hours, at passport control.

I need to book a taxi transfer and would like to avoid having to shell out for waiting time where possible.

It was May 2023 when we went, so not super recent, but reckon we queued about 75 minutes for passport control. We arrived Ryanair from Dublin, not long after a flight from the middle east had arrived, something like an Emirates or Qatar airways flight, and so big plane and lots of people in the non-EU line. Maybe it's a timing thing? It did feel endless.

Uber was easy to get and quick on arrival if you are worried about transfers.

Depends what time your flight arrives and whether you have children or not. Went in summer with the children so had to see the manned checks. That took forever, well over an hour.

Went recently, friend arrived mid afternoon, with long queues. I arrived about 6:30pm and used automated gates and took about 10 mins (I was quite early off the plane though)

Oh and yes ordered uber both times when out of the passport queue only couple mins wait. V easy. Queue much longer for "normal cabs" especially if you don't have cash.

We went earlier this year and I don't recall especially bad queues. The buses and metro are really good and easyto use, metro line from the airport. I think you'd pick up a taxi no problem if you'd prefer that.

We went a couple of months ago and the queue was long. Our toddler was in the buggy though so we went through the family lane which took a couple of minutes!

We went in October, I can’t remember a particularly long queue, we did get an early morning flight though.
