French Med Coast in August

We've 'done' Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia and I was wondering if there is anywhere on the French mainland med coast that might have nice beaches but some of that South of France charm. Ideally somewhere with proper clear water/sandy beaches that might not be crazy busy at the end of August?

The coastal stretch between Toulon and St Tropez looks like it has some of that but not sure how busy they'd be, and eating out (with 4-5 teens) etc expensive?

Villas etc around Perpignan look a bit cheaper but the beaches don't looks as nice (on paper).

Any tips appreciated!

Have a look at Les Jardins de La Pascalinette. It’s a smallish campsite with some three-bedroom holiday rentals very close to some lovely idyllic beaches. The campsite itself had enough to keep teens occupied including swimming pools with slides, teens club etc… Lots of quieter beaches to choose from in the Hyères and La Londe area.

Thanks for the reply. Then teens have done camping and are not keen on more. Any specific beaches nearer Hyeres that are good?

I was thinking the Hyeres area too, in particular the Giens peninsula - https://www.giens.com/locations . Only passed through there on the way to get the boat to the Ile de Porquerolles ages ago but it seems to have some nice beaches and be fairly chilled out.
