Insurance if travelling to France within 6 weeks of EDD ? Anyone know of a company who do it ?

As the title says, I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with no. 2. We're going to France as a family and wil be returning to the UK 6 weeks before my EDD (at 34 wks). We will be staying at our house over there and have booked flights already etc. We normally have annual travel insurance and am just sorting out renewal, but noticed that they will not cover me if I am within 12 weeks of delivery on return.

Does anyone know of a company who will insure you to 34 weeks ? I've looked at various others on the internet and these seem to vary between 28 weeks and 32 wks.

HELP !!!! There must be someone who would insure me ???? Or are there any ways around it ????

I am not sure if they do but the health restrictions seem much better with the PO travel insurance. They are willing to cover us for a couple of health problems that others would not cover. Of course we have to pay extra but at least we are covered.

I had to speak to one of their nurses for a check and then sign a disclaimer, so maybe worth phoning them.

I used to work for a company that did the emergency assistance for lots of different travel insurance companies, and tbh as far as I remember most stopped by about 8 weeks before edd.

The EHIC will cover you in a state hospital if something happens, and you have your own house so no accommodation costs, but if you had to delay your return for eg, you wouldn't get help with new flights etc.

Thanks for your answers. I've got my own place over there so wouldn't be after accommodation as you say, and I also actually have a car over there, so if necessary, I could actually drive back (we leave the car over there) if we really needed to, or couldn't get a flight.
What is the EHIC ? Is it the E111 ?
Thanks very much....
