Luxury hotels in Palma, Mallorca

Can any one recommend a great hotel in Palma for a long weekend (Mums only, no kids/DHs - yeah!!!) Preferably with a spa, must have a pool and classy rather than cheap and cheerful. Either walking distance or affordable taxi ride from restaurants/bars etc. Preferably one you've been to yourselves or know someone who's been and recommended. Thanks.

We stayed in Palacio Ca Sa Galesa in September last year. Absolutely stunning, great location, wonderful service, the works. But pricey. Would recommend it, but only if you are really splashing out. I seem to remember pools being hard to come by in the centre of the city... we had a small indoor one in the hotel, but I think you would need to be further out of the centre to get decent size pools... might be wrong though.

palma hotels have very small pools, if you go a little further outside you have a better choice, soller ot port soller is good and has fantastic restaurants around.

Let's be honest, we won't be doing 30 lengths a day! Just looking for somewhere to lie out and a small pool to cool off in! Port Soller is beautiful, and certainly wouldn't stay in Palma for a long break, but we're just there for a weekend, so were hopoing to stay in Palma, but might be worth looking further afield. I would, but the others don't travel much so want it to be as simple as posible..... on site spa would be good if you know of any spa hotels.
