Is this a terrible idea?! Thinking of les grands pins (Yelloh) with 3 kids and a dog but will the dog hate it?? Can he be let off the lead anywhere? Anybody got any dog-friendly holidays in France that they could recommend?

We are taking our 2 dogs camping in the summer. France is dog friendly and people are happy to ignore the rules, so even if the campsite says on leash only etc, as long as the dog is well behaved, nobody cares. You can also take dogs to most restaurants and attractions.

Check the site rules, they vary, and think about your own dog and likely temperatures, some dogs cope better than others

We looked at that but I don't think the beach allows dogs off the lead.
We stayed at Le Mané Guernehué which has quite a few dog friendly beaches nearby, including Mane Guen, Lizeau and Drehen which all allow dogs all year round.
