Long Haul ideas - Easter time

Hello everyone,
Looking for some advice/reviews/help on booking a long haul holiday at Easter time 2026.
We are a family of 4 and our kids will be 5 and 8 by the time we travel.
I'd like some sun and heat, but also have a bit to do as well - culture, experiences, basically up for anything.
We will be looking to go for around 2/2.5 weeks.
Other than that, our only pre-requisite is that the flights are direct OR multi-destination i.e. we stop off at the layover destination for a couple of nights each way.
We have been thinking about the Caribbean Coast in Mexico (but worry there isn't anything to do other than lie on the beach) as well as Vietnam (will it be too humid).

There have been a flurry of long haul at Easter posts recently! As I have said on one of the other posts, we are going to Vietnam Easter 2025 with kids. Vietnam has three distinct areas and climates, but according to my research, April is pretty much the perfect month weather wise as weather will be good in every part (though it will be very hot in the South). We are concentrating on North and central. Flights are long though. We are flying Qatar airways with a change at Doha. Originally we were going to fly Singapore airways with a few days in Singapore but I missed the boat on flights and they massively increased in price. But if you want a fun stopover then I would consider that (but book flights as soon as they are released). I think it is possible to fly direct to Vietnam on Vietnam airlines but the direct flights are not very frequent.
We did also consider combining Singapore with Malaysia Borneo if that is of interest to you. Also Thailand - but we discounted as April very hot at that time.

Kenya? You can do safari as well as beach time.

April is the best time for traveling throughout Vietnam (Travel South to North is the best order at that time).
