Youth Hostels in Berlin

Looking for a youth hostel in Berlin that will allow a group of 5 aged 17 and 18 year old boys to stay in? Somewhere central - Any suggestions? Thanks

Dd got bedbugs from a hostel in Berlin so I would second the apartment idea. Also v weird vibe there and creepy guys.
I love Berlin in general but the hostel sounded bad.

I hear the Meininger Hotel is very good. We stayed in a family room in the one in Lyon, and really liked it. Most of the rooms are set up as dorms. They do breakfast, but there is also a kitchen if they want to make snacks themselves.

Thanks- unfortunately Meininger says no under 18's unless accompanied by a parent/guardian

Apartment sounds good but struggling to find one where they can all have their own beds and will take 17/18 year old group of boys.

Have they looked at Generator Hostel?

I saw someone on FB earlier asking for Berlin recommendations (for school trips, not independent young people). A and O Hostel was suggested (we have stayed at the one in Friedrichshain and we loved the area too), and also Jugendherberge Ostkreuz, which must also be nearby. Shame about the Meininger though, I bet it's lovely!

Jugendherberge = youth hostel. SURELY they should be able to stay there!

St Christopher Inn near Alexanderplatz

Have a look at The Schulz hotel near ostbahnhof and the wall - it was full of young people and we had a quad room. Quite a cool hostel- ish vibe.
