Lanzarote in October?

I'm looking for advice please for a beach holiday in October next year and considering Lanzarote? We have tried Tenerife (Puerto de la Cruz) and had mixed weather and have tried both Paphos and Limassol in Cyprus. Fancy trying somewhere different and wondering what Lanzarote is like? It's for my husband and I and our 15 year old DS. We like places like Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca and Lagos in Portugal if that helps? Looking for a nice 5 star on the beach. Thank you!

There isn't much you can do about the weather — it's going to be pretty much the same as Tenerife on any given day.

We found pretty much everywhere is kinda touristy in Lanzarote, but Playa Blanca in the south and Punta Mujeres in the north-east seem fairly quiet, Puerto Pollensa-style. The latter is near to Orzola, which is very small and may not have much accommodation, but it's where you get the ferry to the magical La Graciosa.

Thank you that's very helpful.
