Caribbean Honeymoon Hotel Recommendations

Hi all,

We're looking to go to the Caribbean for our honeymoon in late March/early April next year. If you've been there for honeymoon or just a special holiday please share the hotel/resort you stayed at. Ideally we're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful with a nice beach and nice food - we're not looking for a party!

Sandals Barbados?

The Sandpiper in Barbados is heaven: small, private, and family owned. Sounds like it’s what you are looking for? Right on the beach (to be fair everywhere is in Barbados) and a nice beach bar for lunch). In the evening you are near all the amazing restaurants on that west coast so you could eat out every night.

@roamingcat We liked smaller islands that less Brits go to. So Little Dix Bay hotel on Virgin Gorda is hard to beat. You can explore the BVIs from there as well. Just fabulous Caribbean islands. Try looking at crewed yachts for something special out of Tortola.

BequIa is also a stunning island with a real Caribbean feel. It’s part of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Thanks all. We've now just discovered the advice about waiting TTC for several months after visiting the Caribbean and aren't really sure what to do. We've fallen in love with Antigua after doing some research, but we really want a baby! Delaying by several months would mean we will likely have to miss my sisters wedding abroad the following year but we know nothing is certain so we may not even get pregnant in those timescales even if we were trying...

The Caves in Negril, Strawberry Hill in teh blue mountains, Golden Eye in Orcabessa, Geejam in Port Antonio and Jakes in Treasure beach are my favs. I'd do a combo of 2 or 3 in a 14 night stay :)
