Little break for just after Christmas

Maybe a European city break, or maybe further afield....flying out on Boxing Day.
3/4 days, DH, Teen and me. £1300-1800 budget.

Where would you go?

Budapest
Christmas markets are still open. Amazing chimney cakes!
Outdoor thermal baths.
Ice skating in front of a castle.
Possibly The Nutcracker ( tickets hard to come by though).
Ruin bars.
Danube cruise.
Great buildings
Fashion Street!

Copenhagen because Tivoli gardens is amazing at that time of year and the whole city feels cosy and magical.

Berlin, we did this a few years ago flying out at the same time as you plan to. Stayed in the old East which was cheaper but public transport was easy and reliable. Loads of history, not expensive at all. Fond memories.

Copenhagen? TUI has a b&b package for under your lower budget, 4 star hotel.

I was thinking Copenhagen or Bruges at first. You've pictured Budapest beautifully. My DH is a big foodie, so has to be somewhere with good food, and shopping for the teen. Would like a hotel with an indoor pool maybe.
