Really fancy this for May half term. Has anyone been? If so, any tips/recommendations?

  • is end May a good time to go?
  • which accommodation would you recommend? We'd like 3 bedrooms as kids are early/mid teens now and struggle sharing
  • who best to book with?
  • we don't want to hire a car. Is this doable? How do you get there from the airport?
  • anything you didn't like?
  • suggestions for day trips etc whilst there? Apart from Venice of course.

Thank you!

We went some years ago. We flew to Treviso and got a taxi transfer (I pre-booked it) - there was a also a bus. We went early June I think and didn't have aircon - but I would always go for the newest and biggest van you can afford. I always booked aircon and covered decking whenever we did Eurocamp / Canvas. Worth looking at their website as they do a range of accommodation these days. Otherwise compare Eurocamp / Canvas / Select etc. We went for a week and there was so much going on we never actually left the site. Lots of choices for food - eat in or takeaway. A big supermarket and other shops. Different pool complexes and the beach. It is a big site. My dd is an adult now but actually I would be happy to go back for a cheap off-season week. You can get the bus from outside to get to the dock for Venice, or to Lido di Jesolo.
