Solo travel Colombia

I'm ditching my family for 12 days and have booked Colombia solo. I travelled solo through Asia (including some fairly scary parts) in my 20s and can't wait to do it again. I've been to Peru before on my own recently , so I'm not a complete novice. As an older and wiser person these days, I want to avoid anywhere risky and I'm thinking hiking in the Salerno region (las nevados) then if I have time, flying up to Santa marta and seeing tayrona and minca. I want nature and am less interested in cities.

Please give me some recommendations if you've been.

Hi! did you go? I'm really thinking I need a 'solo holiday'. I'd like to experience travlling without 'managing the emotional/physical needs of my family.'....
Tired, 50-something mum. Want to prove I can still do something like this! Inspire me? How did it go?

It was amazing!!! I stuck to quiet rural areas as a soft landing and did lots of walking and lying in hammocks reading and congratulating myself on my decision. Totally amazing experience. Relaxing but stimulating at the same time because it was so different and removed from my horribly stressful normal life. Nothing remotely bad or scary happened. DO IT!! I think 50 something is a great age to travel alone. Socially exhausted enough to appreciate your own company, fit enough to walk around lots but invisible enough not to get pestered.
