Pegasus Airlines

Hello fellow travel lovers! Has anyone flown with Pegasus? I know it's a budget airline which offers the most basic of flights and then you add on what you want. But has anyone experiences around customer service, delays, ease of resolving problems? I travel budget usually but pay more when a potential headache is more likely to be a potential migraine (e.g. private transport late at night, high coverage insurance, guide for challenging hikes etc).

Never flown on them but I do know they have mixed reputation.

They’ve are a relatively smaller player, certainly in terms of flights <> UK so you may not get much response here.

It might be worth you looking for comment at places like Tripadvisor or Flyertalk…

We used them.
Pretty meh. We had slight delay so they had some transfers whisked out and into carts by the gate.
Pretty non remarkable airline experience overall.

Thank you both. Unremarkable is a good thing sometimes!

I flew from Bishkek to London for about £89 with them.. and it was alright. And i flew into Erbil and that was no problem.

They were fine. Low cost airline but I don’t mind paying for what I want.

Emirates have like 1.7 iirc on trustpilot.
Content people don't usually write reviews

I used them to and from Istanbul.

Alright in terms of service but absolutely full on the way back of men who'd had hair replacements with uncovered heads covered in dried blood on the seat backs. Gross. I complained and they said there was nothing they intended to do. They said they didn't do anything in particular to sanitise the seat backs.

No idea if other airlines are any better re hygiene on this front.

I can't remember where I read it but budget airlines don't clean aircraft between each flight due to time constraints.

On a lot of them the cabin crew do a quick sweep /tidy up during the turn.

Even at many of the legacy airlines these days there’s rarely enough time on a short haul turn to get a cleaning team on with Hoovers and dust pans etc.

We had a good experience this half term with Pegasus but went home via Istanbul Sabiha G airport and it was awful. So wouldn’t recommend that!

TravelMusings · 02/11/2024 19:20

Sounds like they are worth a punt then! Thank you everybody

Cheap does not always equal cheerful.

Have a read of the www.airlinequality.com website; that has recent reviews on Pegasus and they are not good at all.
