Best time to book?!

Hello!

I'm looking to book a holiday for me and my husband and 4 year old for June 2025.

I have narrowed it down to two in Ibiza.

Would it be the cheapest it is now?

Someone told me to wait until Boxing Day, which is when all the deals come out.

Does anyone know if this is correct? If I've found them now, is now the best time to book. I don't know if I'm risking it by waiting. I'm a bit out of practice on holidays abroad.

Thank you

All depends on your attitude to risk I suppose. Is your search very particular, would you be happy to consider a different hotel or destination if your chosen one goes up in price? If not, book it now for peace of mind, assuming it's a price you are comfortable to pay. Just don't look again to see if prices have changed, ignorance is bliss!

But if you are not too fussed and happy to risk having to book somewhere else, I would wait until after Christmas. January is generally a good time to book, they usually have extra money off deals plus making more free kids spaces available which may increase the number of hotels available in your budget. But if you can't wait that long, maybe compromise and wait until Black Friday offers come out over the next few weeks?

Prices are based on supply and demand, if people start booking holidays the price will go up. If there is a lull in bookings the price goes down, but often that doesn't happen until closer to the departure date. You can get good deals, but offers won't necessarily be on the flights/hotel combination you are interested in. I am more of a last minute booker, I rarely book more than 2 months in advance, but that means I have to be flexible. If I was set on a specific hotel and had fixed dates then I'd be more inclined to book it, also once booked never look at the prices again!
