@mumma24 Nakar hotel is in newer area but is very good. Don’t have all details as DD stayed there with friends and really enjoyed it.

Higher end: Can Cera or Sant Francesc in the old town.

I stayed at posada terra santa and wouldn't stay anywhere else now. Stunning hotel and service and amazing location. It is higher end though I got a good deal and a free upgrade.

thanks @wheo ii know there’s the harbour but is there a good beach nearby to walk to?

I second Nakar hotel

IIRC you'll probably take a bus to the better beaches

We stayed at Palma Suites. It's an aparthotel and serves the most incredible breakfasts and the staff are charming. You get a glass of cava on arrival and the suites themselves are fabulous. We just booked an Easyjet break and were blown away with how lovely it was. Also a great location in the old town with lots of great bars and restaurants within cooee.

@CharlotteStreetW1 this looks amazing. Thank you . Will check with my daughter if a swimming pool is important as I can’t see one.

There's a plunge pool on the roof terrace.

I stayed recently in playa de Palma and it was perfect. Short hop from the airport, lovely long clean beach, plenty of restaurants and shops. I can't wait to go back.
