I have two teenage ds who are super interested in both world wars. So far we have done the following trips with them which they have loved:

Bletchley Park
Eden Camp in Yorkshire
Cabinet War rooms in Westminster
Museum of flight in East Lothian
Ypres/somme/flanders fields

We have Normandy beaches on the list, and possibly Berlin.

Any other suggestions?

One rather niche WW2 location is Imber, a remote village on the Salisbury Plain that was evacuated in 1943 so American troops could use it to drill for the Allied invasion of Europe. The villagers were given a month or so to leave, and were never allowed back - after WW2 it was used to train the Army for operations in Northern Ireland. It's opened to the public a few times a year, and is quite an eerie, empty place - depends how good your DSs' imaginations are!

Like Tyneham.

There's also the Museum of Army Flying at Midfle Wallop, and the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton.

If you are ever passing through Devon, Upottery is an interesting diversion. It was there that many of the US Airborne Division left in planes for Normandy. You can see some of the overgrown concrete runways and they have a small museum in one of the Nissen Huts run by volunteers.

More French options - If you’re ever in East France or near Geneva there’s the Museum of the Resistance & Deportation in Nantua. It’s really worth a stop, lots of quirky artefacts and information, like different coloured parachutes dropped for different items - food, weapons, supplies etc.

If they like Band of Brothers, the Overlord itinerary in Normandy always looked good:

My friend isn't long back from an Italian WW2 campaign tour, and raved about it. Started in Sicily then moved further north, tracing the steps.

I enjoyed the Museum of the Resistance in Chambery, near Annecy in France. It was v interesting to learn about the Resistance in the mountains. I believe there is also a Holocaust museum there.

The Wellington Tunnels under Arras where 24,000 soldiers were quartered during WW1 waiting for the offensive to begin.

As PPs have mentioned
Flanders
Tyne Cot Cemetery and Visitor Centre

Menin Gate - Last Post every evening at 8pm. I think it's being renovated and due to be completed in May 2025.

Berlin
Jewish Museum and Memorial Berlin
The Boros Bunker, Berlin five-storey bunker Nazi-era bunker (it is now an art gallery of contemporary art).

Templehoft Airport (not sure what's there now but worth a look for the architecture and history of Berlin Airlift).
