Christmas in Salzburg

Has anyone spent Christmas in Salzburg? Any tips? We’re there for 4 nights, Airbnb.

I haven’t but I have been there in the summer and they are Xmas market mad there. They also eat lots of stodgy winter food. I think it will be very cute and atmospheric, if a little hectic.

A lot will be closed over the actual Christmas period - check where you can eat/shop!!

I was there in March one day. It was bloody freezing but we had a good time. I think a long weekend is perfect to see most of the city.
