Disney and ... what else ??

Looking at Disney for a holiday for DH's 50th and he'd like to do a week in Orlando and a second week on a beach but where? We stayed in Clearwater for 4 nights the last time we went and that was lovely but he'd like different this time. I wondered about Bahamas maybe? We'd fly into one and back out of the other. His bday is July but he's happy to do the trip at other times of the year.

We did 2 weeks in the Maldives for my 50th so I want to make sure he feels it's a special trip.

it’s expensive ( to us ) , we’ve stayed there 4 nights maximum.

.you could drive down from the Kissimmee area it one day , but it’d be a long day. Stay over in Miami to break the trip up.
TB is 2.5 - 3 hours drive from Miami.

We have done this a couple of times. We stayed on Anna Maria island which is gorgeous but suffered quite a bit in the last hurricane.

We also did a Caribbean cruise for a week leaving from fort lauderdale and that was great if you can match up dates. Very relaxing after a busy first week!

We've done a week in the Florida Keys and also a week on the Gulf Coast near Fort Myers/Sanibel.
