Efteling and clueless

A group of 12 of us are looking at efteling and eurocamp next summer. But I'm so overwhelmed my head - I've seen canvas being talked about but is that a different place?! As I understood it eurocamp was the version of centre parks but now I'm a bit clueless

Anyone done it and could give me some pointers please?!

You want to join the Efteling for Brits Facebook page. Lots of info on there.

We stayed at Beekse Bergen - highly recommend. Eurocamp used to have holiday vans onsite. Very short journey to Efteling. We spent all day there and were fully occupied, but probably wouldn't have needed a second day.

We split our holiday in half - got off the ferry in Rotterdam and had a day at the zoo before driving to BB. Spent five days in the area before driving to Duinrell and exploring the other side of the country.

Try Little Clogs Facebook page for advice on where to stay near Efteling. We stayed in a Guest House walking distance from Efteling that was reasonably priced and great for kids.

Eurocamp and Canvas both gave accommodation on various European holiday parks. They don’t own the parks you just book through them. You can get discounts on ferries if you book through them. I think they’re all the same company now anyway.

We’ve stayed at Duinrell about an hour from Efteling twice. Once we did a day trip and the next time added a two night Efteling stay on after our week at Duinrell. We booked direct with Duinrell as we were in our own tent but you can book with various suppliers including Eurocamp and Canvas. Duinrell is expensive but on site amusement park and pool are amazing. It’s close to the beach and some gorgeous towns including Amsterdam.

If you look at the Eurocamp or Canvas website and filter by Netherlands sites you can see which sites are near Efteling.

Eurocamp is not the same as Centre Parcs but you can book a Dutch Centre Parks and do Efteling as a day trip or add on a break there. Just search European Centre Parcs and look at the map for ones close to Efteling.

Efteling also has its own accommodation, I believe. We went there when dd was about 7, but stayed in a nearby motel-type place.

Eurocamp isn't a place/destination but lots of people on here seem to think it is. There are various companies such as Eurocamp, Canvas, Vacancesoleil (which is actually the same company as Canvas) that rent out mobile homes and tents on well equipped campsites, often with excellent pools etc. As PP said, Eurocamp don't own or run the site, the sites are often privately owned. Efteling is a destination, I don't know it but I believe Eurocamp etc have mobile homes there that you can hire. Center Parcs have sites in Europe as well as the UK.

The Efteling has its own accommodation which is good value as it includes theme park entry.

The Efteling is good for 2-3 days (at least for us!) so Unless on a very short break you will probably want to combine with another place to stay for a few nights. There are lots of nice holiday parks in the Netherlands (Landal is a big chain, or try centre Parcs which are cheaper than uk but of variable quality). Or you can stay somewhere else that is also an attraction like Duinrell (book with Duinrell directly otherwise you have to pay for swimming) or Beekse Bergen. Or, visit a city like Amsterdam, Utrecht or Leiden.

You could stay at De kempervennen Center parcs
