Where would be an easy place to take my 10yo for supper in Munich centre next Saturday?

We’re spending all day travelling there by train, so I want to not have to think too much.

Mr Pancake is a short walk from the main station.

Forgottenmyphone · 19/10/2024 14:37

Just realised Mr Pancake will probably be shut by supper time

Hard Rock Cafe

Trattoria Pizzeria La Valle

Both are within walking distance of Marienplatz S bahn station (two very short stops heading eastwards on the S bahn from Munich hbf).

I'd go with the kloster wirt suggestion above for a kinder schnitzel mit pommes or alternatively Oh Julia! Sendlinger Straße 12 for an Italian. My kids always liked that one.

Well I do love Augustiner beer. That a very appealing one.

The pancake house being shut doesn’t matter. We’re going via Brussels, so it will be waffles for breakfast.

Any ideas for a German takeaway in case we’re knackered? We’re staying on Sonnenstrasse.

You in the premier inn? Max’s beef noodles is just down the street

SoosieM · 19/10/2024 17:49

PommesFreunde in the Stachus Passagen just at the top of Sonnenstraße do a good takeaway Currywurst with chips and have a good selection of Sauces for the chips.
Can also dine in but seating is very limited.

SoosieM · 19/10/2024 17:53

There also used to be a decent Thai place in the Stachus Passagen that did eat in or take away but don't know if it's still there.

MinnieMountain · 19/10/2024 18:41

Yes @Spamfrit .

PommesFreunde sounds perfect.

Should probably add that the Stachus Passagen are Underground. You will have to go down the stairs/escalators from Karlsplatz as if you are going to the metro.
Not sure if that is obvious when your are relying on Google maps.
