Lake Constance/Bodensee

Does anyone have experience of holidaying here?

We have 2 teens, 14 and 17 and would drive there via Alsace.

We'd hope for a combination of walking/sightseeing, culture, lake swimming, cable cars.....? It looks beautiful.

We usually Eurocamp so it'd be a change from that, hopefully not too boring for teens!

We’re staying in the youth hostel there for 3 days next year on our way back from Austria.

We’re going to do lake swimming from the beach club, visit the Zeppelin museum, hire bikes and get a ferry somewhere.

From my memories of living near there for my year abroad, it’s an outdoorsy place. You should find plenty to do.

We stayed there recently in Germany near Lindau for a couple of days. It was stunning

We visited the Freibad and beach
Did a bit of sightseeing

Lots of people cycling on e-bikes

Went 6 years ago with 14 and 13 year olds, stayed in Lindau and had a brilliant week. Mountains, bikes, lake swimming, boats, even open-air opera. I'd go back like a shot.

We stayed in Lindau many years ago. Beautiful area.
