Please recommend me a great family-friendly holiday!

Looking to go June next year
Pref nothing too far away as we've been to Mallorca three times now with our DS, although he manages the 2h flight, plus the 1h 40 transfer so I think around a 4h flight with a short transfer would also be okay?
Not looking to spend a fortune (around £1000ish pp - a free child place would be a bonus!)

Do you want beach/pool type holiday or more stuff to do

Do you like big hotels/resorts with kids clubs etc or are you more keen on smaller places

Hi @minipie he will be 4. I would like a mix of both really, pool at the hotel, pref close to a nice beach (with sand not the gritty stuff) and then the option to venture out to the shops/bars etc - Mallorca has ticked all the boxes for us but we wish to try somewhere else now

I'd have a look at the Greek Islands like Rhodes or Crete. Browse Jet 2 or Tui and see what takes tour fancy. Where do you go to in Majorca for comparison?

I don't really know C'an picafort. Alcudia is a large busy resort. Do you want a large busy resort or somewhere smaller? Maybe have a look at Kos. Tigaki/Mamari area. You aren't very specific with your requirements, so tbh lots of places would fit that description.

I would also recommend Greece. To narrow it down, check which Greek destinations your airport flies directly to. All the popular ones, Rhodes, Crete , Corfu etc have something for everybody.

Also lots of flights to the Canary Islands though people can be a bit marmite about the Canaries on here 😅

Menorca is gorgeous. Lovely shallow coves.

How about Ibiza? Cala Llonga is where ive stayed a few times, very relaxed and family friendly, little cove beach, beautiful. I've not long ago been to Can Picafort, it's a nice mix of quiet but lively if you want it, so think Cala llonga may suit, and there's probably other resorts similar.

Of course it’s Hawaii. You can sunbathe on the beach with your family and surf. It’s great.
