Arriving at Hotel around 6pm and then have the whole of the next day before flying to Hanoi the following morning.
Staying in Hong Kong Island near the Star Ferry Crossing I think.
Really want to make most and see/ do the ‘musts’
Any advice would be much appreciated !

I had a few hours only in HK last year. No time to do real sightseeing, but just wandering around the harbour front and through the city is great. But the highlight was getting the tram up to the Peak in the late afternoon and then just walking a little way away from the visitor centre, finding a quiet spot and watching the sun go down and all the lights come on across the city. The most beautiful sight on a clear evening.

Hong Kong harbour is fantastic. Also a ride up the tram to the high peak. The view is fantastic but sometimes it is cloudy as it's so high. The night markets are super. There is a market called ladies market and it sells lots of leather handbags (copies)

I used to live in HK. Make sure you see the light show on one of your evenings (it's at 8pm). My various visitors enjoyed it from the Aqua Luna:

Night market?

Yes , I’ve been on YouTube this evening and the peak tram and the junket boat trip (aqua luna) for the symphony of lights in the harbour were standouts!
the food scene looks incredible too!!!
