Where to go end of October/November for an adults-only trip?

Hi all,

I'm looking for some inspiration as me and my partner are planning on booking a last minute trip at the end of October/at somepoint in November. We don't have a specific budget and can be totally flexible on the type of trip - could do a long weekend or a week (or longer) away. We're just looking to go away and have a nice time, ideally with some sun but this is not critical if the place has other stuff going on. Hit me with your suggestions!

Nice? The weather can still be good at that time of year and lots to do in the area.

Cadiz is lovely at that time of year. Well, actually any time of year!

Southern Spain, Granada, Cadiz, Malaga...all lovely. Very easy to get to too.

Or Marrakesh stay in the medina in a hotel with a roof terrace.

Cape Verde if you like all inclusive and beaches

Agadir in Morocco has temps of around 25 degrees in mid/late October, just over 4 hours flying time and about an hours transfer from the airport.

Keep in mind that across the Christian (European) world the last week of October is usually a school holiday. So if you can go the week before or the first full week of November, it will probably be quieter and less expensive.
That said, southern France or Spain will be v. pleasant weatherwise

I did 4 days in the Canneries. Temperature will be lovely in Oct/November. It's really life affirming. You can get a cheap package with jet 2 or Tui. They come with hold luggage included and transfers so it's cheaper than using budget airlines.
Its a bit English abroad but there's plenty of other northern hemisphere nationalities escaping. Obviously there's beaches and walks and plenty of places to eat.
It was much better than I expected actually.

Actually that will be half term....maybe not a package deal then.

Nice ( Antibes) Rome or Barcelona then.

Madeira was amazing in October last year

We went to Valencia first week in November last year. City break with beach a 20 minute bus ride from the old town.

Sicily

Lots of resorts and resort towns will start shutting down after end of October. You may be better off with a city break.

We have been to Cyprus and while we had mainly warm and sunny days, we also had some rain and in the mountains it got really cold. But it's a very interesting island with lots to see and do.

I've been to both Seville and Alicante at that time of year. The weather was lovely.

stanleypops66 · 09/10/2024 08:14

Marrakech or canaries for nicer weather.

MissAmbrosia · 09/10/2024 13:05

Seville - we went beginning of December last year and weather was still glorious without being too hot.

MissAmbrosia · 09/10/2024 13:05

Though I have just come back from Valencia, which we loved.

BigDahliaFan · 09/10/2024 13:05

Valencia can also be lovely then, not hot hot, but clear blue skies and sit out in a t-shirt weather and it's a lovely city.
