Does anyone have any recommendations or advice about this kind of family activity holiday? We normally do Eurocamp in France but as the kids are getting older (ages 12, 9 and 7) I’m thinking something where there are loads of activities and the kids can have a bit of independence, make friends etc etc but where I can still relax a bit might be worth a try.

we do like exploring the local area, trying local restaurants etc so not sure about the all inclusive aspect but maybe worth a try! (budget allowing - it’s not cheap but then Euro camp is coming up so pricey this year too!)

We're shortly off on our 13th Neilson holiday - I think you can't beat it for the range of included activities. We go as a multi generational family and there is something for everyone. We have two DD, 14 and 16, who both love it. (To the extent that the older one wants to take a gap year to go and work for Neilson!)

Most resorts are club board so all breakfast and lunches are included with two nights where you are free to go out for dinner.

(We did try MW few years ago but would never go with them again, I was seriously concerned with their childcare.)

Happy to answer any questions!

Veteran of lots of MW holidays here - great for lots of different activities, mostly water based.

I wouldn't say the food is world class /Michelin star quality but better than many other AI hotels. Accommodation tends to be a bit more basic than some hotel though in balance. Would certainly recommend them

We've done Mark Warner and Neilson, loved both, Neilson maybe just a little more. We have an only child (15 now), and these holidays have been so good for him. He made such good friends this summer that he's met up with them twice since we got back home, with another meet up planned for October half term!

I have done several MW and a Neilson with my kids - now 12 and 10. Highly recommend - we all love it. I also marginally preferred Neilson - thought the food/meal format was better but they are very similar. I actually thought the childcare offering was better at MW though with more fun activities / water sports included. At Neilson you cane pit kids into a Hotshots club for water sports but it costs extra.
