is 15kg a small suitcase (not filled with bricks)?

are there any good rules of thumb? will they still let you take hand-luggage on board?

can you tell i haven't been abroad in ages and never with dd?

Aitch, from the sounds of it you might be better looking into another airline and changing in London! BA were really good to us (though they are more expensive than Ryanair), and changing at Gatwick was pretty easy. We took a cup, and bought water and milk airside - also bought calpol airside (had to do plastic bag thing with that on the way home)...

Just looked - flyglobespan do Edinburgh-Rome. Could you cope with going east? Baggage and seating looks better than the Ryanair meanery.

but, but, but... i want a direct flight. it's about three hours direct, double that at least via Londing.

th e £18 bag charge will be made up of the £12 and then£6 for the priveldge of someone checking you in!

Dunno - between flying Ryanair and a longer journey, the latter wins for me. But mostly because I get very annoyed by Michael O'Leary and personally (disclaimer - this is not a Mumsnet opinion) think he comes across as an arse. But obviously I could be wrong and he could be awfully nice...

i think he's a solid gold cunt, myself. fuck it, i'm booking. wish me luck.

good luck. Have you got anywhere with apartments yet?

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 22/04/2008 20:55

aye, some cracking places actually. that website spug linked to is fantastic, lots of pics and you just spam the places asking about price and availability. okay, so most of them are taken but you get a few coming back. you should bookmark it.

Will do. Have heart set on Villa i Bossi again, though. The owner taught the Thorpedo to make pasta. Don't know why I find that cool, but I do...

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 22/04/2008 21:15

i find that incredibly cool.

Hi
I am flying with Ryanair tomorrow ( 6 bloody am) with my 8 month wriggler and husband. Any advice? has any other parent tried to 'soothe' their baby with medicine before flying? Also, can you take baby bottles with cooled boiled water on the plane if above 100ml? How have other mothers fed their babies their milk before and during flights? getting quite stressed about it. My baby suncream is more than 100ml too!!??
thanks
