Skiing Over New Year?

Bit late for booking tbh but thinking of skiing over New Year and wondered if anyone knew of any hidden gems- either resorts and/or hotels/self catering options that aren’t bonkers expensive but still nice (4A, 4Ch). Fairly flexible and probably thinking France, Italy, Austria or Switzerland

We go to Thollon Les Memises which is a small village resort with a ski lift in the centre. It's about an hour from Geneva with stunning views of the lake. No need to get in a car for the week once you've arrived. And you can catch the train to Evian and the bus up the mountain. Mostly red and blue rums.

It's had good snow over new year the last few years. I just checked, there is still accommodation available, a 2 bed flat is about 500 euro for that week. Ski pass is cheap compared with big resorts.

It's not large or famous (but Chatel is only 40 minutes drive, if you fancy it.) but it's beautiful, friendly and we've had many happy holidays there.
