Geneva for NY

Hi all. I'm looking to travel to Geneva for new year but struggling to find family friendly hotels that aren't going to leave me destitute. Can anyone recommend anything? We are planning to fly into Geneva so happy to explore outside also. The kids want somewhere snowy so figured Switzerland was a safe bet. Thanks in advance <3

You’ll need to get out of Geneva for snow. I lived there for seven years and can count the times we really had snow on one hand.

Perhaps consider Austria as it might be less expensive?

Switzerland is really expensive. Does it have to be Switzerland? If it's snowy mountains and Christmassyness you're after, I'd consider flying to northern Italy (Verona) and getting a train to Bolzano. Should be cheaper than Switzerland.
