Hi. After a very long time I've finally booked efteling for a weekend in July. Really looking forward to it as trying to get this organised for very long time. We have a nine year old daughter. Looking for some tips.

We are Flying into eindhowen airport
Any suggestions for transfer company from airport thinking private as it's quickest option.

Are there places to eat on site that do burgers and pizza stuff like that

We are staying in efteling hotel would it be easy to get to beekse berges if we have time without a car.

We are going for 3 nights 4 days Thursday to Sunday.

Any other tips would be much appreciated

Yes they have pizza and burgers. There are at least a couple of pizza places, although we haven’t eaten in either of them. There were burgers on the menu in the hotel restaurant, which is a bit pricey but totally worth it.
Definitely recommend the pancake house for the experience as they have animated pots and pans that create music every once in a while, as well as "magical water" dispensers for a small extra cost. We had both savoury and sweet and both were good. The only criticism is that the service is a bit slow, and it wasn’t super busy on either occasion that we went.
We also liked Het Witte Paard as it had spacious seating areas, plenty of choice for hot meals, and self-service, so there wasn’t much queuing or waiting time for dishes to come (we had to queue for about ten minutes at Polles Keuken and wait for about twenty minutes until our meals arrived).

Download their app, it has the full map of all rides and food places - and queue times, really useful when there.
And check out the Facebook group Efteling for Brits (or something like that), there is so much info and past questions there that give sooo much info and help!
I went in April, looooved it! ❤️

Food on site is good and reasonably priced. You will have breakfast with your hotel so fill up in the morning 😜 We ate in the Kashbar restaurant which was lovely with lots of options to suit everyone. We didn't make the pancake house because we messed up our reservation but really wished we had. You can make your reservations on the app. We also went to Pinnochios for Pizza which was very good, but a little lacking on the customer service.
Four days is a lot so you could easily have a day out in the middle. We had two days at Efteling and would have liked one more.
We absolutely adored it.
Seriously considering going again. Does anyone have recommendations of anywhere as good in Europe?

Hi, we love Efterling (Family 1x boy 6 and 1x boy 8)

This year we went to Belgium . We visited Plopsa de panne theme park and their indoor water park both were excellent.

We also went to Bellewaerde which is a theme park Zoo they had a brand-new water ride which was amazing. They also have an indoor water park that we didn’t visit.

Depending on how old your children ae or you have any I have just been to Energylandia in Poland just outside Krakow (£35 Uber one way) with just Adults it was awesome for coasters will most certainly will take the lads back when they are bigger. It has 28 coasters, (Six flags magic mountain has 29)

Food and drink offering in all parks puts the best UK parks to shame in quality and price.

@Doingthework thanks for those fab recommendations, I will check them all out!

@Ash19 I know that public transport to Efteling is excellent if you fly. We get the ferry to The Netherlands from the Port of Harwich to the Hook. We got the day ferry, drove an hour to a nice hotel near Efteling, got up early the next day for 2 days and 1 night at Efteling, staying in Loonsche Land hotel, and then left late on the 2nd night to drive 45 minutes to beautiful Terspegelt for a week. All in it was less than £2K for a family of 4 for a 9 night trip.

Some of the restaurants have freebies! The kids meals at HWP or Frau Boltes have chips in a bowl that looks like the top of a toadstool and it turns into a music box. The Poffertjes restaurant has Pardoes plates that you can keep (my DC quickly became big fans of Pardoes). The pancake restaurant has a tic tac toe game.

There are two entrances to the Fairytale Forest - make sure you go in through the one by Sleeping Beauty's castle, not the one by Long Neck, otherwise you'll miss things. Most of the scenes in the Fairytale Forest have interactive elements but they're not always obvious.

These are all great tips thanks to all for taking time to reply

Does anyone know how long In advance you can book restaurants. Is it recommended to book. few of places mentioned about seem like great fun.

I would book the restaurants that you can, yes. How far in advance varies - we were able to reserve Pinnokio's about 4 months out, but Polles Kitchen didn't start taking bookings until a few weeks later. Be aware that much notice you get for ride maintenance closures also varies, unfortunately - the list got longer as we got closer to our trip.

You should look into Europapark in Germany
